Congratulations to Chew Valley on BIS at Swannington with a Cham Tan. Dave Gillard represents the real grass roots of the NMC. It’s excellent to see dedicated fanciers such as Dave reap the rewards of their hard work. Dave also makes Maxeys to sell and produces some Moorish honey from his own bees. What an asset he is, along with wife Christine.
Spring is an excellent time to focus on breeding. Longer daylight hours and no extremes of temperature. The mice are at their reproductive best and moult marks on mice for the show bench should be at a minimum. I will be laying down my mouse to focus on my mice. The grass roots are where my passion lies.
