Big congratulations to [log in to see names] on his great success at The Real London. We will certainly feel your loss as an exhibitor, but I am delighted that you will be joining us in another capacity. [log in to see names] is also having to take a step back due to health issues.
All the more reason to remember that we are a national club, and as much as possible, we need to hold our events at a spread of venues to allow access to as many exhibitors as possible. Not everyone is up to a long drive or has a car.
I would also like us to remember that with such a niche hobby, we will always be relatively small. Every member is important, and we should offer help and support to all where we can. Sadly, there have been some unnecessary and uncomfortable comments on our social media group recently. Members, please pause and reconsider before posting unkind comments posing as helpfulness. I have always loved the camaraderie to be found in the NMC and would hate to see us follow some of the other fancies who have become notorious for poor social media behaviour.
Luckily, this sort of thing doesn’t present at shows, so I look forward to meeting up at the next event and having a jolly good time.
