Show Calendar and Organization
The show calendar is filled with a lot of shows. A few too many, which is not ideal, but Real London came in late (and is now within a week of Sowood). [log in to see names] and I swapped a Sheffield with a Swinford to maintain a healthy mix of locations. I hope this will make for good entry numbers and, more importantly, quality exhibits.
Thinking about shows, I pondered a simple yet effective method to return each mouse to their box after a show. I have been sticking bits of masking tape underneath the Maxeys, which was a lot of faff. I looked at one of my older Maxeys with “[log in to see names]” written in neat white letters on the bottom, followed by a number. It sparked an idea. I think I will number my Maxeys and keep a clothes peg in each one that I will clip to the record card of the box that I took the mouse out of. That way, I have a fast and effective method to match each Maxey with the home of the mouse it contains.
Little improvements. There is a term for it. Kaizen. Invented by Toyota, I think, who also invented the QR code.
