Bradford Show Report
Speaking of judging, I enjoyed my day at Bradford as I am sure everyone did. Unfortunately, [log in to see names]‘s show report got lost in the post, which is very regrettable. I am still hoping for it to turn up but, realistically, I don’t think it will.
Mousery Tech
I look forward to longer days now, with temperatures currently hovering around 15°. The new mousery is all up and running. I am using an electric heater to keep it around 16°C and had a major problem with water bottles leaking and getting all the boxes wet. The reason was that I am using relatively large bottles. Consequently, temperature fluctuations due to the imprecise thermostat in the heater caused the air bubble in the bottles to expand and contract, effectively pushing water out the nozzle. A separate thermostat switch that has its sensor on a long lead, and has much better precision, was the solution to the problem. An inexpensive item, available on Amazon. Another problem solved.
