These are my last notes as President of the NMC, a role that I have very much enjoyed. My only regret was the Covid pandemic, and family illness, which made it difficult for me to attend shows.

Congratulations to Stephen Maynard on his BIS double, Meldreth and Swinford. Maybe a treble coming up. I understand the entry was very good at Swinford.
I watched some of the England Ladies winning the European Cup, which reminded me of Percy Ashley taking a ladies’ football team to the Middle East and Europe in the 1960s. Percy was a top mouse exhibitor and specialised in Black Eyed Whites. In 1933 he had a Triple Champion with one.

I hope everyone is coping with the second batch of hot weather. I moved my stock into the garage with a couple of blowers on.
Finally, I would like to wish all exhibitors every success for the rest of the year and for 2023.
