Annual Ballot

On the back page is the current list of candidates for the Annual Ballot. If you want to add your name, let me know by the 15th of this month. The agenda for the AGM is overleaf.

Social Media

Can I just remind members that as long as they are a member, they are representing the NMC. I have seen some exchanges recently in social media – not in an official NMC group, but in groups involving NMC members – which use choice language and promote ideas which some people find upsetting. Remember also that people of all ages are interested in mice. It is up to us to make sure we always represent the mouse fancy in a friendly and responsible way.

On the topic of social media, the Facebook NMC Members Group is up and running again, and popular, it seems! Its purpose remains as a chat room for friends—not a place to put your requests for new stock. That should be a private matter between you and the person you hope to buy mice from. There is in fact a Facebook rule forbidding sale of animals, and we don’t want to risk closure of the group.
